What the Green Shield is
The Green Shield sits between tool discovery and tool execution. When an AI agent tries to call your tool, the consent card fires. Your user sees exactly what's about to happen — who is asking, what data is involved, for what purpose, within what limits — and makes one of five choices: Allow once, Allow until I change it, Set a time limit, No, or Never allow this. Every decision is recorded in a SHA-256 hash-chained audit log.
What self-certification means
Self-certification follows the Apple notarization model, not the App Store review model. You run the conformance checks. The system confirms the result. The badge is earned, not claimed. The mechanical verifiability of the consent gate — it either fires or it doesn't, the chain either records or it doesn't — makes self-certification credible.
